When you are less than 4 feet tall, the whole world appears bigger, a regular trip to work turns into an adventure and science seems magic!
The school autumn holidays are soon coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean that the fun has to stop – quite the contrary, because school subjects such as math, chemistry and physics can be both intelligible and compelling if explained the right way. Therefore we take a look back, as for the third year in a row we organized the Kid’s Day at SAF Tehnika, teaching the youngsters of SAF employees more about their parents' respective fields of work. The main goal still is to spark a curiosity in scientific disciplines in children.
Unlike the previous years' traditional tour around the HQ of SAF, this Kid’s Day took its participants to the recently opened House of Science of the University of Latvia, where they had the chance to explore the science labs together with Prātnieku Laboratorija. The day consisted of various workshops where both the littlest ones as well as teens had the chance to participate in various educating and action-packed experiments. Perhaps after the day of activities some of the participants might consider the University of Latvia as a prospect for their future studies!
