With the wind with WISP’s

282018 August

We’re in the office mode again after the excellent week spent with our WISP community on a Wireless Without Limits Conference cruise. For those unfamiliar with the event, this is the annual gathering of WISP’s organized by Double Radius that takes place on a cruise ship.

Last year we went to Jamaica, this year we had a chance to be on the move to Alaska. This unique conference, trade show and cruise experience with other like-minded people was amazing.

The business portion of the cruise featured a traditional conference meeting old friends and colleagues, building new relationships and learning about the latest products and services for the wireless broadband industry.

It is always nice meeting people who speak the same language, but even better when you have solutions to help them with their mission. SAF North America featured our carrier-grade full duplex Point-to-Point licensed backhaul radios spanning 6GHz – 38GHz. We also had the chance to announce a couple of exciting new product updates.

Two new Integra models are about to get released. We’re not disclosing too many details here, but the key buzzwords are XPIC and 10 Gbps E-band. Stay tuned and make sure you’re subscribed to our blog to be among first to get notified when they hit the shelves!

In total we had three presentation slots.

  • New Product Roadmap by WISP Sales manager Jeff Wade
  • The SAF Story by SAF North America President Janis Bergs
  • Spectrum Compact Applications by SAF North America President Janis Bergs

In addition to our presentation about SAF’s world’s smallest microwave spectrum analyzer, we gave away one Spectrum Compact kit.

Craig Wass from Desert iNET, LLC was this year’s lucky winner of a Spectrum Compact kit valued at $5000. WWL is a unique experience and an invaluable networking opportunity for the WISP industry. SAF is happy to support the event with our sponsorship.

Looking forward to a next WWL!
